Two of the most popular representatives of the contemporary Spanish music scene came together at Barcelona's Poble Espanyol to offer a concert that showed them both at high points in their careers. Pastora and Chambao performed for an audience ready to have a good time, filling the night with electronic rhythms and flamenco chill, respectively.

Pastora-the trio made up of Dolo, Caïm and Pauet-opened the concert. Paisajes de Agosto got audience members up and dancing, and the crowd was especially responsive to the charm and wit of Dolo, the group's soloist, who was on the move throughout the performance, expressing herself with humor, spontaneity and a complete lack of reserve. The audience then sang along as the group performed La Cultura, Lunes and Un Hombre sin Tabaco, accompanied by Pauet's psychedelic audiovisual projections.

As one song followed another, Pastora forged an ever-closer bond with the crowd, who sang along with the group and applauded Dolo's speeches. There was time for everything, from rolling a joint to settling down on a sofa dragged out onto the stage. A state of total communion was reached when the group performed Lola. The fans were waiting for it and went wild as soon as the first notes sounded.

The finale of Pastora's performance was followed by a brief interlude, and then Chambao appeared in the square of Poble Espanyol. Despite the marked change of register, the crowd remained receptive and enthusiastic. The group from Malaga took advantage of the opportunity to present some of their new songs, and demonstrated their determination to give wind instruments a central role on their next album.

Maria del Mar and Eduardo also played some of their best-known hits from their first album, Flamenco Chill, and from Endorfinas en la Mente. The audience had a chance to enjoy the group's characteristic sound in songs such as Playas de Barbate, Los Muchachos de mi Barrio, Una de Tantas and the much-publicized Ahí Estás Tú. Chambao also sought to enrich the concert experience by presenting a number of recited texts and a choreographed dance piece with 10 dancers from the company Valor Danza, who blend flamenco and hip-hop.
