Viewpoint Port turns black and orange at the start of each performance of La divadivina y el hombre bala. Four characters move to the rhythm of the music with brusque gestures, bidding farewell to the diva as she travels to the earth. She arrives at our planet from other worlds, seeking the understanding of humans. But when she lands, her hopes are dashed by a cruel world filled with poor communication and manipulation.

This is a starting point of the creation that dancer Sol Picó and Los Deméndez will perform at the Forum until September 26. The performance points out the harshness of society and portrays love as the solution. With minimalist, yet effective set design, music that envelops the audience, and original techniques, such as using a crane to simulate the landing of the diva, this show reflects perfectly the insanity of modern-day society and the stress of every day.

During her journey around the earth, the diva runs into characters of all kinds. And none of them intend to help her. Her desperation grows. She thinks all is lost. And then, she discovers the love of a human cannonball. Daring, energetic, and high-flying, but perfect for her.

La divadivina y el hombre bala depicts love as the light in the darkness of life. The audience will enjoy the spectacular finale, complete with a drumroll and the launch of the human cannonball. This work by Sol Picó and Los Deméndez is a breath of fresh air-twenty-five minutes of warmth and kindness.
