Technology
The information is transmitted via radio on frequency 2, 4GHz
and therefore allows for a portable terminal with a Wi-Fi card
to access Internet using a connection of up to 11Mbps according
to the standard 802.11b. The minimum equipment needed is a PC
or a PDA with a PCMCIA or wireless USB adaptor.
Coverage inside the territory
The wireless network has been dispersed to allow Internet coverage
on a wide band frequency to various areas inside the Forum territory:
Convention Centre / Media Centre, The Forum Building, The Fair,
The Talismans of the World, Ronda Wharf, Peace Wharf, Captains
Building and the Maritime Area and The Marina Stage.
Service Points
In the Forum site there are different sales points
or ticket booths where the prepaid cards will be sold. |

The system
installed in the Wi-F network of the Forum site can be
paid through different methods:
Prepaid 24hrs card.
Contains a PIN which allows access to the ADSL Wi-Fi Area.
This card can be bought online and grants access during
24hrs.
Prepaid 1hr card.
Allowing 1 hr access
Personal ADSL Wi-Fi area card.
By way of a monthly subscription this card allows telephone
calls and Internet access via Wi-Fi.
Global ADSL Wi-Fi area card.
Allows the holder to call and surf paying for a determined
time and using time up in periods of 10 minutes.
