Barcelona FC and RCD Espanyol to debut Forum logo on jerseys during summer tournaments
The Barcelona Football Club and RCD Espanyol Barcelona will debut the Forum Barcelona 2004 logo on their first teams’ jerseys during their respective summer tournaments, which will take place a few days from now.

RCD Espanyol will do so on Thursday, August 21, at the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium, during the 30th edition of the Fernando Lara Memorial City of Barcelona Trophy Tournament. This year, RCD Espanyol will take on the Italian team Parma AC. The Barcelona Football Club will debut the logo on its jerseys during the team’s introduction to the fans at the Joan Gamper Trophy Tournament, where the blue and red team will face Boca Juniors.
The inclusion of the Forum logo on the teams’ jerseys is the main stipulation of the collaboration agreements that Forum Barcelona 2004 reached with the Barcelona Football Club and RCD Espanyol in April. According to the signed agreements, both Barcelona-based teams will sport the Forum logo on the left sleeve of their jerseys throughout the 2003-2004 season. With this agreement, the Barcelona Football Club and RCD Espanyol have joined the list of institutions that support Forum Barcelona 2004. Both sports clubs will work to publicize both the Forum and the principles and values that the event represents, especially among sports lovers.
This is an unusual initiative that has just one precedent: both teams sported the logo of the Barcelona Olympic Games when the city hosted this international sporting event in 1992.
