Program Shows
Programming for the Plaza involves performers from around the world. A multitude of options will be on offer, including both small and large-scale performances, new forms of expression, and diverse styles. There will also be large-scale productions commissioned from leading international professionals and artists.

The Plaza offers visitors theater, music, dance, puppet shows, pocket opera, cabaret, musical street performances, circus acts, performance art, installation pieces – an extensive and varied program that runs throughout the day and includes something for everyone. Shows are rotated monthly to ensure a high level of diversity.

The Forum opening and closing ceremonies also deserve special attention. The opening ceremony will be the starting point for a show that will be repeated daily at the Sant Adrià Marina. The closing ceremony will coincide with the celebration of the festival of la Mercè, the patron saint on the city of Barcelona, and will incorporate the fireworks and musical elements traditionally associated with this festival in an unforgettable pyrotechnic extravaganza on the beaches of Barcelona.

The two shows to be held at the Auditoriums of the Sea and the visual poem that will be presented at the breakwater are also particularly significant events. Ten major thematic celebrations will take place in the Plaza over the 141 days that the Forum runs.
