The Haima Other exhibits
La Haima The Haima is a 16,000 m2 tent designed to house fifteen exhibitions about conditions for peace, viewed as solutions to economic, cultural and environmental conflict. At the start of the new millennium, all the members of the United Nations agreed to sponsor an ambitious action plan to eradicate poverty and hunger, bring clean drinking water to a further 1.2 billion people, ensure that all children have primary schooling, promote gender equality, and combat devastating epidemics such as HIV/AIDS.
To achieve this, they set themselves a deadline of 2015, and as a strategy, agreed to promote a joint, global pact at all levels of society.
